Software Engineer - C, C++, distributed applications

Brief Job Description / requirements:
Experience in Microsoft Windows™ development environments, object oriented design, C, C++, SW configuration management (SCM) systems, Database design, developing - multithreaded & distributed applications , use of communication mechanisms (synchronous and asynchronous) , Service Oriented Architecture, familiarity with software life cycle management

Spirae Inc., based in Fort Collins, Colorado, is seeking an engineer with excellent software development skills.


Responsibilities:

* Serve as C++ specialist
* Participate in product design, and lead development of controls software, communication modules, and user interfaces for power system applications.
* Assist sales team in developing customer proposals.


Required Experience:
* BS degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Electrical engineering
* Demonstrated experience writing robust software. Excellent C++ expertise.
* Experience with Microsoft Windows™ development environments, object oriented design, C++, SW configuration management (SCM) systems, and state machines.
* Energetic and enthusiastic. Fast learner. Technically competent.


Desired Experience:
* Websphere™ development experience.
* Experience with distributed control architectures and real time controls.
* Experience with SCADA systems and RTUs.
* Experience with communications and field protocols.
* Database development experience.
* Experience with control systems development in applications such as automation, motion control, engines, or power control. will be added advantage.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
